How we work
Source information, specific questions and verifiable reasoning behind the conclusions.
Subject of examination
We help define the molecular genetic examination task and prepare materials for an appropriate specialist. We analyse reports, sample provenance and the grounds for conclusions about kinship or biological traces.
- Preparing a biological kinship examination
- Analysis of sample documents
- Preparing an indirect kinship examination
- Comparison of genetic reports
- Materials and questions for a court examination
- Analysis of a biological trace examination
- Review of a molecular genetic expert report
Before work begins
We clarify the object, the purpose of the enquiry and the available materials. We select suitable specialists and methods, and establish whether inspection or further examination is needed. The scope, fee, timeframe and format of the result are set out in the agreed order.
Written result
The result describes the objects and source information, the methods used, the characteristics identified and the reasoning behind the answers. Limitations of the materials are reflected in the conclusions. The procedural status of the document depends on the basis on which the work is carried out.
Reviewing an existing report
If a report has already been prepared, its methodology, completeness of source information, calculations and the connection between the examination and its conclusions can be reviewed separately. A review requires the full report with its appendices.
Let’s discuss your task
Describe the situation and the materials you have. We will agree the questions, scope of work and format of the result.
